Last Friday, The Orion Project implemented the new faxing system, which allows you to fax letters to your government officials, both in the U.S. and abroad, through our website. On the first day alone, more than 1,000 faxes were sent by people who took the initiative to have their voices heard regarding their stance on the need for non-polluting, renewable energy alternatives and to end the suppression of advanced, "outside the box" energy technologies.
On the same day, Congress passed the 2009 Economic Stimulus Package, which has allotted $50 billion dollars for creating greater energy efficiency and to support renewable energy programs.
There is no greater time than now to let your elected officials know how you feel about the issue of suppressed energy technologies and the need for a sustainable and peaceful future.
Other ways you can help
Our grassroots effort is largely dependent on people like you, educating one another on the vision and goals of The Orion Project. With the new faxing system in place, please ask your family members and friends to write their elected officials. You can also download the new Briefing Document to print out and distribute to President Obama and your members of Congress. Networking and donations help us to continue our efforts of researching and developing new technologies.
To quote Marian Wright Edelman, "If you don't like the way the world is, you change it. You have an obligation to change it. You just do it one step at a time." It is time for us all to take those steps.
